Merryland Castle is buildings are arranged arrounded a highly ordered system of narrow packed earth streets which form triangular paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The city is the proud owner of a proper castle-style stone wall complete with all of the trimmings. It has towers, a moat, gatehouses, drawbridges, and even merticulationsshortsizeleadershipname.. Merryland Castle's perhapse unnessisarily well built defences are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.

History
A local has came up with a wonderful new idea 6 months ago; it may be a magical innovation, a new industrial process, a new agricultural product, a new use for what was thought to be ancient garbage, or some other very useful, profitable idea. Everyone around them is fighting for the chance to exploit this clever new plan.
In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century, Merryland Castle was attacked by soldiers from another nation, waging a greater campaign. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Merryland Castle lost 135 people, 293 livestock, and 48 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 54, when members of Merryland Castle's militia enacted an operation to deliver supplies to a specific group of civilians. The operation was complicated by the officers in charge fight among themselves, weakening the army as a whole. The conflict ended with pitched battle between both forces, which ended in a stalemate for Merryland Castle's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Merryland Castle's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
